Can you sell an engraved ipod

I am ordering a new iPad Pro. I'd like to get it engraved, but am wondering if that will affect its trade-in value if, down the line, I want to trade it in for a new device. Does anyone know if engraving affects trade-in value? Posted on Apr 23, PM. Thank you, Skydiver! Would you mind explaining why you recommend NOT mailing in a trade-in to Apple? Apr 23, PM. Avoiding engraving gives you far more flexibility down the line. It follows that personalised engraving makes the iPad much less attractive to potential purchasers. Apple Trade In - Apple. That said There are more than a few posts here from people claiming to have the recipient claim a different, usually damaged, condition of sent in devices as opposed to the condition the owner claims it was in. So it may not be an issue, at least going by that.

Or if you do trade in with APple, I recommend that you only take it into an apple store and do not mail it in. Mail ins can go to a third party vendor. So, according to the posts I have seen, their final offer is most likely lower than what was estimated initially. And, as mentioned, do take close up pics of its condition and insure it for the full value when mailing it. That way you will have proof just in case. And, that company issued a check 24 hours after receiving it.

I have dealt with them several times over the years. Apr 23, PM in response to babowa In response to babowa. Wonderful info, thank you! So would you recommend me selling my device to macmeanoffer. I didn't know Apple sold refurbished units, thanks for the information.

It changes the price points in my head, I don't think I'm being completely unrealistic, although definitely didn't have the values right. I'm sure I'm not the only one who didn't know about the refurbished units. Another thing, jailbreaking adds value to someone who has no clue how to do it but would tentatively be interested in the benefits.

You're telling me everyone knows how? I think everyone can be persuaded to the benefit as a sales pitch. I also know that I installed a program on my iPod to allow it to sync with any iTunes application. I didn't mean a significant amount, I just meant 'something'. Again, thanks for the information.

It's very helpful, and I was looking for opinions I'm hopeful to sell them, but if I don't oh well. Search In. Selling Engraved iPods. Share More sharing options Followers 0.
