Perhaps it's because I'm using estee lauder double wear which is difficult to clean. This cleanser is gentle 5 out of 5 stars. This cleanser is gentle enough to use on all of my brushes, even my fude brushes, but it gets all of the makeup out of them. I wash all of my brushes and sponges with this shampoo. I have very sensitive skin and experience no irritation from cleaning my tools with this product. Highly recommend. Did you? It gets the job 4 out of 5 stars.
