I can see why because his best use is early to mid game with a few exceptions. Of course now he just collects dust waiting for Zombie Dragon to come around again so I can try and skill him up just to say I did.
Anon 7 years ago 6. Funny how you had to mention Vritra. Fed him to Anubis long ago. No regrets. By Curran 7 years ago 6. One thing that's great about the late bloomer series is that you can ult. From what I remember of what I read on said glitch a long time ago, it seems to occur when you get your strength altered by a!
Something to do with it storing a variable in the wrong place. It actually is more of a curse than a blessing though; the stats you get leveling up that way are significantly lower than what you'd get if you'd leveled up naturally, so if you want to make your hero stronger you better like seed farming. Find the bestiary and hunt down seed dropping monsters with 4 thieves. I pumped up my Hero and 4 fighters to HP by fighting Kongs.
Generally, against Divinegon, Thordain is the best attack, followed by Blazemost, followed by a strong normal attack. Of course, since fighters have a high crit rate, they can also use a regular attack instead of Blazemost this is the only part where the RNG Goddess matters when you're uber powered. Yes, I do know about the little "cheat" you can do by copying your save file and whatnot so you can essentially "reset" the turn count to fight him,.
Before you fight Divinegon you can copy your file then go fight him and wish for the medals, delete the save, copy the old one, and do it again. Since the medals aren't tied to a particular save you can keep getting the medals without having to beat Divinegon in less turns. Well, there are no medals to collect so Divinegon doesn't grant any "medal wishes". He still has three levels of wishes though, for which you are required to beat him in progressively fewer and fewer turns. I could've sworn that I beat him, reloaded the save file, then beat him again and received the same medals.
Is it because you delete it and copy over the replacement one? Why does that make a difference? Not to mention the SNES version didn't let him have the "blank" wish, which opens up the other Bonus Dungeon at the place where Lamia hatched. Then again, that's also feasible in the fact that you couldn't get anywhere in that Bonus Dungeon without Monster Medals in the first place, so yeah. JOY among joyous occasions! I used a risky, yet clever idea. I had my Sage use Transform to change into my Hero, thus allowing him to spam Thordain.
